Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

  • Las tablas, gráficos y figuras deberán de constar de tres partes:

Nota de pie: en el cual deberá incluirse la definición de siglas y abreviaturas, aclaraciones y fuente bibliográfica. Esta última deberá citarse en formato APA.

ARTÍCULO ORIGINAL EXPERIMENTAL – ARTÍCULO ORIGINAL OBSERVACIONAL

Los artículos de investigación original se centrarán en estudios sobre productos regulados por la DNM, incluyendo cosméticos, productos naturales, suplementos, medicamentos y dispositivos médicos, entre otros, y su eficacia clínica, pruebas de laboratorio, etc.

ESTRUCTURA GENERAL

Extensión: 250 a 300 palabras.

Systematic Review Articles

Result of an analysis of recent articles and publications on issues of products regulated by the DNM, it includes a synthesis of evidence under a bias minimization process. It provides a high level of evidence on the effectiveness of interventions in health issues.

ARTÍCULO DE REVISIÓN NARRATIVA

Address a specific topic. Document resulting from a technical analysis of recent information or current issues and interest for public health, issued by a person with extensive experience in the subject; the selection of articles does not require a systematic method.

1.2. BRIEF RELEASES
Less extensive than an original article, they describe innovative techniques or methodologies, preliminary results of research in public health.

Dissemination articles and informative texts of a scientific nature, of variable structure and length.

Length: a maximum of 200 words is suggested.
- Keywords
- Number: 3 to 5 keywords

With an extension of between 1,000 and 1,500 words, it is recommended to include the following sections:
- Introduction: for its writing it is recommended to follow an inverted pyramid structure, organizing the information from major to minor importance while answering the questions: What?, Who?, How?, When? and where?
- Final: where the possible benefits of the research carried out should be expressed.
- Tables and Figures: Up to 2 elements can be included in each document.
- Bibliography: At least 10 bibliographical references must be cited.
