Resumen

Protecting public health is more than an institutional responsibility. It is a commitment fulfilled every day through every decision and every process that determines whether a medicine is safe, whether a food product meets the quality standards our population deserves, or whether a regulated product reaches the market with the appropriate guarantees.

At the Superintendency of Health Regulation (SRS), we work to translate that responsibility into concrete actions through evidence-based regulation, efficient processes, sound technical criteria, and an institution committed to continuous progress.

ConSciencia Sanitaria was born from that same conviction. More than an institutional publication, it serves as a platform where scientific and technical knowledge becomes a valuable tool for strengthening decision-making, promoting critical analysis, and contributing to the development of an increasingly modern and effective health regulatory system.

This edition brings together the work of professionals, researchers, and specialists, committed to generating knowledge to address the current challenges in regulatory sciences. The articles presented here reflect valuable experiences, analyses, and contributions that strengthen health regulation, and support the protection of public health in El Salvador.

In line with the vision of modernization, innovation, and transformation, promoted by the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, we are building an institution recognized as a regional benchmark. A SRS that cooperates, educates, innovates, and responsibly addresses the challenges posed by emerging regulatory environments, from digital transformation to the harmonization of international standards.
